STIMENT pays 1,000,000 Euros to 4 new sub-projects
On Friday 25th of February Monitoring Committee approved 4 new sub-project in STIMENT INTERREG IIIC operation. During the meeting in Hämeenlinna in Finland Steering Committee presented the recommended sub-projects for the member of Monitoring Committee for approval. The overall aim of the program is to stimulate new ways of entrepreneurship in Västerbotten/Norrbotten in Sweden, Lorraine in France, Brescia in Italy, Häme in Finland and Wielkopolska in Poland.
STIMENT has a budget of 3,400,000 Euros and after approval of 4 new sub-project on Fridays meeting 9 sub-project are ongoing with 60 participants working in sub-projects actions. Allmost 2,500,000 Euros are now allocated for 9 sub-projects.
The following 4 new sub-projects were approved:
ECOW: Interregional Entrepreneur Co-operation in Design and Prototype manufacturing of Wooden Products.
The project aims to build a sustainable co-operation of enterprises both on regional and interregional level concerning design and prototype manufacturing in the wood processing area, for the regions Wielkopolska in Poland, Lorraine in France, Brescia/Lombardia in Italy and Övre Norrland in Sweden. The objective of the project is to establish regional partnerships for co-operation between enterprises, universities and organizations in the wood processing area, in partners region respectively, and to establish an interregional long-term working partnership for co-operation between these regional partnerships in order to create development of entrepreneurship in these regions.

ICTagents: ICT agents as Icebreakers in Reaching New Markets
The objective of ICT agents project is to better integrate information and communication technologies into SMEs business processes and help the SMEs and ICT service providers to expand their markets both domestically and internationally. The ICT agents as intermediating objects help SMEs to understand usefulness of ICT in their business competence by conducting a need analysis in each SME. The ICT agents also match the SMEs and ICT service providers together. Target groups are selected from enterprises with growth potential within relevant business sectors in each region. The use of ICT in SMEs’ business processes will increase and the enterprises will be more productive.

EKC – Entrepreneurial Knowledge Community
The main objective of the project is to stimulate the entrepreneurial spirit, knowledge building and business opportunities by usage of modern technology in an entrepreneurial way in the participating regions – main target group are young entrerpreneurs. The project aims to go beyond traditional learning and complement this kind of learning possibilities through development of an Entrepreneurial Knowledge Community built upon one of the oldest forms of learning – mentoring (coaching) together with knowledge management . The project will also promote e-learning as a tool for Incubators, through creation of a repository in e-learning technologies and best-practice and virtual workshops available through an E-academy.

EU. LO. GISTIC
EULOGISTIC project wants to analyse location and logistic strategies for SMEs entrepreneur in a comprehensive view. It means in two different outlooks: the SMEs entrepreneur prospect and the Pubic Institution view. In other words, EULOGISTIC aim is to analyse how suitable area for industrial buildings starts and develops in all 5 regions in order to get a best practise/model. The model will be built and tested with the help of the local economic actors such as enterprises, local governments and Business Support Organizations. This will guarantee efficient dissemination and transfer of the results.
